Kokoro will seek to enrich environments through the integration of art in its endless mediums into every design process. Designers and artists will be united by fifteen principles of design (balance, proportion, order, harmony, space, organization, asymmetry, language, function, element, rhythm, symmetry, fashion, symbolism, mass), energized by the creative forces within and inspired by innovation. Kokoro is dedicated to awakening the artistic energy of each and every project in essence, process and form. Focus is in the following areas: Ceramics Ceramics is at the heart of Kokoro. We have made numerous connections throughout the Nicaraguan ceramics community and we are working on plans for the ceramic studio and kilns.
Sculpture There are some existing and a few plans for sculptures in and around the park grounds. Painting There are various places for large murals. Just waiting for the paint brushes to arrive. Woodworking There is daily woodworking going on. From timber framing to furniture design to building planter boxes it seems like if you like to you can get your hands on a chisel or saw.
