Casa Adobe
This Adobe house was designed and built by Jesse Erbel and his wife Natalie Best in 2007. Known locally as the "Flintstone House," it was built with a combination of traditional Nicaraguan style adobe and strawbale construction. The organic design and stone finishes give a natural feel to the structure. The lofted second floor catches glimpses of the ocean, has two full size beds and a small sitting area. There is a basic kitchen and plenty of outdoor space for hammocks and lounging around. A charm of the house is that there is no electricity, no phone and it is an isolated spot with lots of privacy. It is a two minute walk to the surf at Playa Maderas, and a minute up hill to the facilities of the Parque Maderas Hotel.
