The preservation and focus on the natural
environment is central to Kokoro. The Pacific
Dry Tropical Forest where we live is a unique
and shrinking ecosystem. Working with the
environment, educating the community about it
and making that information available to the
public is important. We realize that by including
knowledge of the environment, we create the
knowledge that is necessary to protect it.

An ecology center will provide access to
information on the local ecosystems and the
Kokoro grounds. It will also facilitate the
   	interchange of information between local
experts, visiting scholars and visitors to the park.
Kokoro is working to create an ecology library,
specifically related to a Pacific Tropical Dry
forest for visitors, scholars and for local
