Historically, herbal medicine and the natural
	world were the only healing tools available;
and most people had knowledge of common
	healing plants.
Herbs are not only a source for treating
disease they are also a source for promoting
health. Our ancestors ingested a wide diversity
of plants which strengthened their systems.
Natural remedies are quite possibly the most
important for the rural poor. Kokoro has begun
to catalog this information, plant specific
medicinal plants and is developing programs to
educate the local area on common remedies.
There is a small clinic space in the planning.

In the future we would like to be able to
distribute free medicinal plants from our
nursery and to provide the education
nessesary to harvest and use them.
	Projects coming up:
		Herb gardens
		Propagation of medicinal plants
		Researching and cataloging local
			herbal remedies.
